		<description>Sorry.  That isn&#039;t as clear as I meant it to be.  What I was trying to get across is that history is lacking in science (at least in the way that he is discussing science).  There&#039;s a great deal of guess work that happens in history (and therefore in lit crit) and no amount of statistics and wishful thinking is going to get rid of that.
